World Sawfish Day 2025

Posted on October 17, 2025

Happy World Sawfish Day!

Now is the moment to make your voice count for the critically endangered freshwater sawfish, and their last global stronghold – the Kimberley's Martuwarra Fitzroy River.

Next week we'll be delivering this postcard petition directly to the Cook Government. Thousands have already signed, this is your last chance to add your name too!

It’s time to stand up and let our WA decision makers know why we need long-term and legally binding protection for the Martuwarra, to protect rare and extraordinary species like the sawfish.

Together, we can keep the Martuwarra free-flowing and healthy, so the sawfish can continue to thrive in these living waters into the future.
