Kankawa Nagarra, Olive Knight, is a Bunuba Traditional Owner calling on all of us to stand up for the Martuwarra Fitzroy River. 

For Traditional Owners, this river is not just a waterway - it is a living spiritual being. It holds culture, law, connection and life. And the wealth it creates cannot be measured only in dollars. The Martuwarra brings food, wildlife, community, recreation and the wellbeing of Country. 

The WA Government’s draft water plan for the river is open to submissions, and we need to get this right.
