Good news, the WA Government has released the plans to create marine parks over the Buccaneer Archipelago!
Coral lagoons, seagrass meadows, sponge gardens and deep-water canyons surround the incredible one thousand islands of the archipelago. The pristine waters are an oasis for humpback whales, sea turtles, dolphins and dugongs - plus rare corals found nowhere else on earth.
Your support is crucial to ensuring that the right balance is found between high protection for important coral reefs and for cultural areas, whilst still allowing more for recreational fishing and other uses in the remainder of the park.
You can help ensure world-class protection for the Buccaneer Archipelago by completing a quick submission.
